Yvonne started taking her son, Ray, and a few of his cousins and friends on weekly bowling outings every Saturday morning in early 1960. It was her way of bonding with her son and feel included in his small world. With the help of her son, Yvonne discovered that she loved teaching kids to bowl, so what started as something personal soon catapulted into a professional endeavor. She furthered her passion by developing a youth bowling program that later turned into the country’s largest and most celebrated program.
